France 4 is not just another public broadcaster. France 4 became a real cross media platform. Audience contribution is at the heart of the brand. No matter if smart or silly, viewer tweets are used as the lead-in for promos. They create a special bond between the young audience and the network.
Simplicity is also at stake. We use basic loops and gifs as a link to the web culture. Solid plain color plates, simple wipes and a unique font for a consistent and powerful design. Perfectly compatible for smartphones.
Each element is an opportunity to reinforce the user-contact with the network. The ad breaks for example are "designed" by users via a dedicated app., turning viewers into users. The idea of dialogue is pushed even further with the ad campaign. Based on mash-up images, it extends the impact and the fun to the on-air look of France 4.
